Can't believe that September is almost over!! Can't wait for October this year with the fall weather, football, and Halloween. Anthony is going to love it! Here are some pics from this month.

One of Anthony's favorite things to do...take daddy's rocks and put them in his dump truck.

We went to Salomon Farm to see tractors, sheep, horses, donkeys and even firetrucks. Anthony was in heaven.

August 2011 was a busy month for us and Anthony's birthday party was the highlight. Anthony's great grand parents came from Minnesota for the great event. We had a great visit and Anthony was really excited to have them at this party.

Anthony's party was actually on August 6th. We had a ton of guests come to it and Anthony got some really neat toys!! He is so thankful to have such loving friends and family. The following video is ridiculously long and unedited. This is primarily for family and friends who could not make it and a large part of my laziness to actually edit the thing down. So, for those of you that were there, don't feel obligated to watch...unless you want to of course.

Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Dan Visit Over Memorial Day

After their visit in Indianapolis, Grandpa Dan and Grandma Debbie drove up to see our new house and help with some projects we had planned over Memorial Day weekend. Of course, they were continually distracted by cute little Anthony. Here is some proof!!

We are closing on our new home this morning and moving in over the next few days!! Here are some pics to hold you over until we get new ones posted of the house.

Anthony's Nine Month Appointment!!

No shots for the little guy today. He just got a prick on the finger for an iron test, which he passed. I was excited that he didn’t get any shots but the prick still got me.

Fun Facts:
He was 17lbs 13oz at his last appointment. He is now 18lbs 9oz.
He was 27 inches at his last appointment. He is now 28.5 inches.

Doc says he is doing great and is now ready for most foods.

Day 97 - Day 107: Cabinets, Flooring & More!!

We can't wait to see this house when it is all cleaned up. This last month feels like a year.

This is probably going to be the last post...if you want to see the final product, you can come help us move!! ; )

Prep work completed for the tile in the kitchen & nook.

Fireplace doors were installed.

Cabinets and flooring in the master bath.

Carpet has started to go in. Sure did pick carpet that is very close in color to the paint on the walls. It is very hard to pick everything out with little 2 inch by 2 inch samples.

Tile in the kitchen and nook is being completed. Looks a lot better in person.

The heat pump was also installed. It is HUGE!!

Yard is being prepped for grading and seeding!!

Day 97: More House Pics....Getting Closer!!!

It has been a while since our last house blog post. Here are a few pics from the last couple of weeks. The first two were a surprise from the trim guy just after they primed the walls. We thought about keeping them. Ha!

The next two pictures are before & after painting was completed in the family room.

The next three are our favorite....the before & after pictures of the stairs.

We thought the next picture just looks crazy.

The rest of the pictures were exciting to take as the concrete was poured today.

The last few are pictures of our backyard patio. We had gone back and forth with the idea of concrete vs. patio pavers. Wanting it done now was a big deciding factor with our decision....but as you can tell, we are still planning for a fire pit.

Day 64: Drywall, Drywall and More Drywall!!

It's amazing what they can get done in one day. Yep, that's right, they started drywall this morning. The whole house is done except for the basement. They are waiting to drywall the basement after it has adequate time to dry out.

Day 58 - Day 62: Outside Exterior & Insulation

On March 11th, the exterior stone started to go up. We were really excited for this part!

They also completed the spray foam throughout the house.

Today the exterior of the home is almost complete minus some paint and hardware. We can't wait for the front door and trim to be painted and for the shutters to go up.

The regular insulation was put in over the spray foam throughout the house. Drywall won't be long now!

Day 56: Real Garage Doors & Plumbing

Well, you may all be bored with the almost daily house pictures but when you are temporarily crammed into a small apartment, it's kinda all you think about and consumes your mind.

As you can see, we now have our "real" garage doors. You just have to imagine the white trim on the house and garage doors painted Irish linen (A.K.A. Cream). There will also be handles and hinges placed in stategic locations on the garage doors per Amanda's explicit instructions.

They also have most of the plumbing done in the house. Next steps are insulating and starting drywall this week.

Here is a little tour of the house thus far before the Lowe Voltage Wiring Project.

Get it, "Lowe"!!

We wired the basement for 9.1 surround sound in one area for the projector and 5.1 surround sound in another area. The family room is wired for 5.1 surround sound as well and the kitchen will have two ceiling speakers.

All bedrooms now have at-least 2 runs of Cat 6 internet cable and 2 runs of Coax for TV.

We have the walk through with the electrician on Friday. They are going to start running electric, plumbing and duct work next week. While that is being done, the outside of the house will be worked on too. You can see in the pics below that some siding has already gone up. They hope to start dry wall by the first or second week of March!!

Well, the little guy got 5 shots today including his H1N1!! I almost couldn't take it but Anthony was a champ.

Fun Facts:

He was 16lbs 7oz at his last appointment. He is now 17lbs 13oz.

He was 26inches at his last appointment. He is now 27 inches.

Doc says he is doing great and is now ready for fruits & veggies...so that should be fun.

It is truly amazing what can be done in one day because if you look at our last post, we were just here on Friday evening. The fun stuff has started!

Day 19: Not Much Change

Not much change this week with the snow and bitter cold. There is a stack of wood on the lot and the pic below shows what it is for....2nd floor beams.

They did pour the concrete for the front porch and garage. It is covered with straw and plastic due to the weather.

We have a little bit of a moisture issue.

Day 10: Starting to Look More Than Just A Hole!!

We now have more than just a hole!!

You can now see where the garage is going and the beginning of framing!

You can also see that our dirt piles have been moved all around and used to fill in around the house.

We can't believe that the walls are already up. I think they have a large crew working because it's winter and construction is slower. You can notice that they have stuff spread all the way into the neighboring lot.

Four Month Check Up

Well, Anthony is growing like a champ. He had his four month check up this morning. He is now 26 inches tall (90th percentile) and 16 lbs 7 oz (80th percentile). That is two inches taller and three pounds more than his two month visit. His head is only in the 50th percentile....which would explain why Amanda's cousin's little boy kept saying on Thanksgiving Day, "That baby has a little head.". He got two shots which he didn't like very much at all. All in all, he is very healthy and progressing right along. He is now clear for jumpers, exersaucers, etc. Rice cereal is now an option to add to his meals...which should be fun.

Of course, I can't post anything without throwing some new pictures up here!!

Well, we are all moved into our apartment for now. We are still waiting for our house to actually close before our new house can begin.....long story short, the government has too much paperwork for first time home buyers! Anyways, it has been way too long since I added some new pictures of the little guy out here. So, without further ado....here you go!!

His mother just loves putting hats on him....although I can't tell how much he really enjoys them.

He does love his blanket that his great grandmother made him. Thanks again Grandma Hornbaker!!

This last month was a great month for Anthony. He found his fingers (above)...sometimes all of them at once and really smiles a lot now when he sees people (below).

2 Month Doctor Visit

Anthony had his two month doctors appointment today. It was also shot day. He had one oral medication and three shots. He was a very good boy for the entire time that he was there. He didn't like the shot lady too much though.

Since his last appointment, he has gone from 11lbs to 13lbs 8 ounces and has gone from 22.5 inches to 26 inches.

He did have a little bit of an eye infection so the doctor prescribed some eye drops. Other than that, he is in great health and is growing like crazy!!

As you can see below....he is a little wiped out from those dang shots!!
